LaGrange Geothermal
LaGrange Geothermal
This house has a total aread of 3,200 sq. ft., and is over 60 years old. The basement will be lowered by an additional two feet. The house currently has no insulation whatsoever and the walls are constructed with old hollow sender blocks. The windows consist of one slab of glass for the older ones and two slabs for the newer ones.

Projects, Northwest Indiana
The current heating system will hardly provide any heat during the coldest months of the year, and the Air conditioning system will have a hard time keeping up with the normal temperature in the house.
The Geothermal House will provide a totally new duct distributing system and will dramatically lower the heat load of the house for a minimum cost.

There will be radiant heat for the basement and the kitchen floor. The energy for it will come from a water to water Climate Master geothermal unit. Another small unit will provide heat for the rest of the first floor.

The second floor will have a split system geothermal unit which will provide heat for the second and third floors.
The expecting efficiency from the geothermal heat system for the house will be over 650%.
We will keep you updated on how the project is going and what will the energy bills will be when the construction completes.
